I want to add a 2nd battery....How to get power wire through the firewall (US Version).

I don't want to drill holes or go through the fender/wheel well. I would love to have both batteries in the engine compartment, then run the aux power wires into the cab, but I can live with the battery in the cargo area.

I ran mine through the fire wall , at the or below the steering Colum, I have a U.S. version of the van
Did you have to do any drilling or moving of carpet. How big was the hole/grommet? Last time I looked, I saw a huge grommet above the column and somewhere near the fuse panel in the dash. I didn't check to see if I could get a wire though it. Do you have any photos of the install? What year is the NV200?

In the european version there is a blind hole underneath hood release cable. A rubber plug, easily to be taken out, leads right through. We use that for all of the wiring we install AC/DC.
Just check if there is anything similar in the US version.
