Hi,

I just thought I would share my part time camper conversion. It has been built around a 7 seater van that can be converted in around five minutes to a four seater - two sleeper van. The conversion is built around two boxes. The first box fits in behind the front seats and had a lid that folds out to make most of the bed. This box is used for storage as well. The second box sits right at the end of the and holds the cooker and also provides the last part of the bed. I was always gunning for swivel seats but with the current design don't think they would really work. I will soon upload a link to a video of how the boxes work.

Mattresses in this position are wherever you want to put them. I would say in the front box or behind the second row of chairs.

In the second picture the rear seats are folded flat and this provides the base for the sleeping platform. For optimal storing capacity while driving the rear seats can also be folded up out of the way but then she's only a two seater.

Occasional Camper
Hello, not sure if this conversation is still active, but I'll try my luck.
I'm looking to buy a nv200 to convert into a Westfalia Style Camper, which means leaving one row of seats in the back like you did. That would allow me to have at least 4 seats at all time. I've been looking for builds that are based around this idea for a while and you seem to be the only one I found who actually did this, most people just remove everything in the back or build their own seat bench to their requirements.
Are the seats you use the original back seats of the 7-seater nv200 or did you add them yourself? Or is it possible to move the row of 3 seats back a bit to have more legroom between the front and back seats (maybe removing the single seat of the row and moving the other two back so they fit between the wheel arches?)
I hope you read this and can help me out, cheers. :)
