Does anyone know if it's possible to add an OEM module to an NV200 to make it remote lock/unlock capable? The truck already has electric door lock/unlock.
I ordered the receiver module, when it came I installed it to the passenger side of the radio and found the plug in taped to the wiring harness behind the glove box. After that I tried the programming sequence and it didn’t respond. Does anyone know if the module needs to be added or a setting turned on in the ECU?Does anyone know if it's possible to add an OEM module to an NV200 to make it remote lock/unlock capable? Just found out that the receiver module does have to be programmed into the ECU. Another trip to the dealer.I ordered the receiver module, when it came I installed it to the passenger side of the radio and found the plug in taped to the wiring harness behind the glove box. Were you able to get it programmed?. I did the same and purchased the module online, installed it and it was as you said. Nissan dealership claimed it cannot be programmed as it was not installed by the factory.Just found out that the receiver module does have to be programmed into the ECU. Another trip to the dealer.
The only wiring plug I found that wasn't used was behind stereo head unit, is it the one for the module? It has quiet a few pins in there. Modules I find on eBay only have a four pin type connectors.I have a 2020 NV200 that did not come equipped with keyless entry. I discovered this site while trying to find out how to install this feature. I found the module on Ebay and installed it behind the glove box. Of course it did not work like others have mentioned. I saw that in Consult III you have to toggle the Keyless Entry from "Without" to "With". I took it to the dealership and they claim that because it was sold without the feature, you cannot enable the module even in if it is installed, because it wont appear in the BCM. Anyone had any success doing this?
I took the glove box out, by removing 8 screws. Currently there is nothing mounted up there but the issue I'm having is I can't find the connector that would plug in to the module. The only spare connector I could find that isn't used for anything is located right behind the radio but it's a lot bigger then then plug that should go into the module.I’m not sure if this diagram
Is accurate or not? I recall seeing a module that looks similar to that while replacing heater motors in these things. To access it you have to remove the entire glove box. Again, I can’t be sure this is the right module you’re after.
I’ll be tearing the entire dash out of one of these things within the next few weeks. I’ll post a lot of pics when I do that.
That's would be greatly appreciatedI'm sure the module I was looking at was the wrong one. But I just tore the entire dash out of one of these things and believe I found the module you're wanting. It has a 4 pin connector with only 3 wires. It's way up above the glove box. I'll try to remember to post pics later tonight. It was tucked up fairly high not behind the radio but above the glove box. I'll get some better pics with the dash cover off and where the connector goes into the main harness.
