So guys the forum is taking shape nicely with lots of options from all over the world. Its a real great thing to see!

So the talking of the world lets all chat about Alloy the wheel world and what would be your own preference for our little runarounds!

So be it 20" chrome spinners or more regular 16" twin spokes stick a post down with your preference and picture would be great.

As a side note the 4 stud fitment (PCD) here is the UK it 114.3 x 4 with a 45mm offset. Please pipe up if this is different for the rest of the world.

So the 1st of my bad taste choices! Borbet LV4's I really like these.....

I just fitted some new alloys 7x17 4x114.3 et 40 shod with 215/40/17s and they look superb when the tyres wear out i think ill go for 215/50/17 jutt to givi it a bit more side wall
Why did you replace the Colt wheels? Any issues with them?

I'm looking at a set of used colt wheels at the moment for a replacement to the awful 14'' wheels that are on the van now.

No problem with the colt wheels at all John although they were 16" the rolling circumference was almost exactly the same size as the Std wheels with the tyres I had fitted but I changed them as I wanted 17" rims on it which look so much better

When selecting a rim tire combo, how much back space can you get away with without clearance issues?
Re-engaging the Forum discussion after driving 68k miles (or times 1.6 for Kilometres/Kilometers).
I got new tires and rims for my 2013.
Been watching periodically, hoping that there was consensus on a tire size. Then I was watching for customizing examples. The watching finally ends.

My thinking, that is to say...I am my own expert, with help from a tire shop that I trust, and trust me. I am tired of "friends" pointing out the golf cart wheels. Constantly performing alignments for uneven wear. This is 2020, there are no cool hubcaps. There is no aisle at Manny, Moe and Jack's that stock must have H'caps. So it made sense after hitting a pothole in the rain, losing both driver side hub caps, denting the rim and compromising the side wall of the front tire to forego OEM.

Specifications:
American Racing AR907 black 16x7. Going for a sport style. Open 5 spoke that show rear drum brakes, and show off the technology, maybe help keep the front disc(s) cool.

P7 blackwall V rated. 205/55 Pirelli all-weather. Enough stiff side wall to withstand bad roads. They protrude beyond the wheel well.

Intended use:
It is a daily commuter, state park outing, home improvement carrier but not a commercial vehicle. Planning to add photos to the Gallery. All had $1100

My Nv on 17 inch
Can you please let me have the wheel and tyre specs?
Is the ride very hard (pardon the pun)?
I have used 205 / 45 / 17 and had my fillings rattled out
Many thanks in advance
Leaf wheels

Well, went to the dealer to get my summer tires back on (O.E.M. 185/60R15C). Somehow, they screwed up the storage tags and this is what I ended up with.

205/55R16 Nissan Leaf mags :surprise:

Looked good!

Back home with my steel wheels 😉

Do these work fine?
might be the cheapest way forward?
Quashqai/X-Trail are 5 x 114.3.........Pathfinder 6 x 114.3......Almera 4 x 114.3. Nissan PCD sizes can be found on this link; PCD Nissan wheels -Wheelfitment.eu | PCD, Offset, Center Bore, mounting and tire size data

So after reviewing all the details up here, I went ahead and got "Flora" done last weekend. These wheels/tires installed with Zero rubbing or issues so far. 500 miles in and the ride is indeed 2000 times better.

Wheels: $419 off ebay($450 with tax)

225/50/17 94V Tires: Off the tirerack ($650 for all 4 )

TPMS sensors: came pre-activated($38 for 4 sensors)

Local Used tire shop: Install TPMS/Mount and balance/Load with appropriate torque(72): $80

This works perfectly and looks splendid.

How's the ride for you?
Ride is marvelous!. smooth like slipping on butter. very comfortable with reduced road noise like those luxury vehicles. Having said that getting rid of rock-like van tires also takes away the weight rating. So i am not going to carry much weight than the baseline extra weight(~500lbs) of a campervan.

ALSO, don't understand why but the pressure does loose proportionally in all 4 tires every 1 and a half week or so. Any ideas why it could be so? I just have to refill 4-6PSI every 10 days. perhaps it the cold season hitting in or could these passenger tires leak when overloaded?
