Has anyone successfully installed a cabin filter for a US NV200? I’ve seen others mention using Versa parts but haven’t seen any videos or how-tos...

I found this tutorial on YouTube of a guy doing it on his EVALIA which is another name the NV200 goes by
in some parts of the world, looks easy enough, no need to remove the glovebox like on most cars/vans.

YouTube:

He shows up a box with a Nissan part number too: B7200-21920

A quick ebay UK search brings up a couple of results.

I know our brands are different to yours but I found a few BOSCH filters so that might
give you something to search for buddy.

I saw this video on youtube as well but my US NV200 doesn’t have a pull out filter like that. The cover seems to be fixed at the inlet. I’m guessing some optional parts can be installed to allow a cabin filter to be used...

Do you have A/C ?

Might be specific for A/C models.

I know on a ROVER 200 I had the apature for the filter was there but no filter was fitted and it had a blank cover on it, wonder if its just a blank cover in place ?

I do have A/C & upon closer inspection it looks like it is a blank cover but I’m not sure how to get it off...

Just to give my update - I ordered the filter that fits the US Nissan Versa 2017 (same year as my van) from RockAuto on the cheap as it matches the part number for the UK NV200 filter

I found the blank panel on the passenger side and removed it.
I squished the filter down and everything looked like it would work at first as it seems to be the correct shape and size...

BUT - there is no way to secure it as the blank hooks at the top and then again has a hoop hook that goes underneath and snaps on. The blank will not fit over the plastic portion of the filter

Result - after trying a couple times, NO I cannot find a filter or cover that works with the filter.

I had to replace a cabin filter on one of our nv200's the other day. The wix number that came up is now obsolete. I looked up a filter on rock auto and they show it fits 2014-2020 Versa(fram filter cv12237). So I looked up a 2018 Versa filter and came up with a with 6wp10277(pure zone brand). It's a perfect match and does not have a plastic frame around it. You gotta squeeze it to get it into the hole but it fits exactly like the old Nissan filter did. It's tricky getting the plastic cover back on, get it seated on the top then slide the bottom part into place. It's a stupid design. make sure it's locked in place otherwise you'll have a big air leak blowing air at the floor.

When looking for a versa filter make sure it's just paper/fabric and doesn't have a plastic cap or surround at all. Those will not fit.
