Hi you all, first time poster here. I live in Phoenix, AZ, and I want to buy an NV200. It's just for personal use, an economical and reliable vehicle that can double as an over nighter when I go to Los Angeles or whatever.

Only one thing that bugs me, unlike traditional vans there isn't the walk through access between the two front seats. Some wierdo comes knocking on your door at night, you might need to slide in the drivers seat and get gone. Or else you want to slip into the back without being noticed so you can "stealth" camp.

Does this console pose a hindrance to that? It looks like you could climb over it fairly easily. And with the passenger seat folded down, you could probably sit on that while you swing your feet over.

It's doable but requires some contorting. Head to a dealership and try it out.

That said - I think some people worry too much about being "found out" when sleeping in a vehicle. Most people really aren't paying attention and if you are caught the worst that will happen 99% of the time is you're asked to leave. With doors on both sides in the back you can very quickly slip into the front and take off if it came to that.

Even weirdos know not to mess with a guy in the back of a cargo van... too likely that you're either a bigger weirdo or a cop.

I want a nv200 for the same use ( overnight stealthcamping ) and If the relocation of the parking break is doable , just get rid off the entire center console . By the way , someone know if a fabric partition with a center zipper is made for the nv200 ?
