Bought my 2017 NV a couple weeks ago. just finishing up working on it and am trying to check the tranny fluid. Owners manual says take it to dealer, yeah right. How do you check the tranny fluid, with the engine running or off? If running in neutral or park? Tried you tube and goggle with out much luck. TIA

Do it with it running. The level should be fine as long as it's not leaking.
I dont' know the tempurature these have to be at to check the proper level though. I'd be more concerned about the color. If it's dark get it changed. Cvt's need clean fluid and are far less forgiving that a regular automatic. They're more finiky about proper fluid level too.

Thanks for the reply. I did post on another forum and was told while running when hot in neutral or park. Just getting the dipstick out with that childproof clip was hard enough-LOL.
