Hi All,

I have a 2019 NV200 work van, full with tools in the back, and a divider partition between the cab and the cargo area.

I work in the city, where crime is high. My concern is that a thief could quickly break the side window, press the Door Unlock button on the inside (which will also unlock the back cargo doors), and then steal all of my tools from the cargo area. I only want the cargo area to be opened via the key fob. I also use the slick locks for cargo, but it's a pain to constantly put them on and off.

Is there any way to disable the Door Unlock buttons from inside of cab?

Any advise is greatly appreciated!

Thank you.

I was thinking of disconnecting the door button that opens/closes door lock. I only want the rear cab doors to open via my key fob.

Problem is... the whole door panel is connected by a harness (about 10 wires), and i don't know which one to cut to ONLY disable the door switch. I still want my power windows to work...

Any ideas? Or maybe schematics that show which wire is responsible for door switch?

Finally answered my own question...

It's the PURPLE wire! I used multimeter to test each wire, and the purple one shows voltage increase when i'm pressing on the unlock button. I'm surprised that nobody from this forum suggested me to try this for the past 3 years i had this post open...

To disable the Unlock button on the inside driver/passenger door, take out the plastic assembly that has the lock/unlock buttons, it'll have a wire harness with about 10 wires. If you cut the Purple wire, then it'll disable the unlock function from this button.

This way - when the bad guys break your window and press the Unlock button on inside, they wont be able to unlock the rear cargo doors to steal your stuff!
