HOW TO - Service interval reset

95914 Views 18 Replies 9 Participants Last post by  jayc
Some of you guys may want to carry out servicing yourselves, as usual resetting the service indicator can be trouble on most modern vehicles.

Fear not the NV200 with the later dash (ie Reverse Camera) can be done with ease! (probably the earlier orange dot matrix as well)

Close doors and switch on the Ignition.

Using left button on dash (odometer reset buttons) press until it says Settings.

Twist left button until Maintenance

Twist left button until Service

Don't go into it simply push and hold until you see confirm push button again and your service indicator mileage should reset.

Simply scroll back to start.

Done.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Greetings
First post. I pick my first NV200 next week and intend to give it a service. It is three years old and 29,000mls. Any help regarding servicing would be very much appreciated.

Greetings Stefaan.
Its a Diesel. I am not sure of its spec. yet. I pick it next Friday.
Paper work states NV 200 SE Dci. 10 Reg.
Thanks for the reply.
Hi snevets68, because they are quite a new van, its all a learning curve from each other! It seems they have made quite a good van with no known nightmares as of yet!

Servicing wise I did the terrible thing of dropping it into Nissan purely for the full 'nissan' service history at resale time.

They only changed oil and filter, so I did the air filter I also cleaned, lubed up the runners on the side doors, (this makes such a difference).

I am interested if finding the location of the fuel filter, please let me know as you discover!!!

PS welcome aboard.....!

It is all in your user manual.
Fuel filter location in the manual??? which page chap?
in mine (dutch version) page 11-chapter 8 quote manual:the fuel filter and the pump are located near the fuel tank under the van
You star! I have been looking for that on another post.

Cheers.
After market rear reversing camera on current dash Display

Mine doe not have a revera camera.
Is this possible ,or need to change dash display ?
Greetings.
Just completed the service. To remove the sump plug you need a 13mm square bar or special tool. The oil filter is a bit awkward to get at. Front of engine near radiator. Best way to remove is from below. There are different types of diesel filters for these vehicles. Very easy to change, four push fit connectors, squeeze in line bulb until hard, run engine to clear any air. The bulb is under the drivers seat. Just a point, make sure the oil is DPF compatible.
unfortunately I have a 2011 and the computer is slightly different. When you push on maintenance there is no "service" section
Hi Ant and welcome to our growing community, I take it you mean you don't have the reverse camera dash ie

Yours is more like.... the old skool orange LCD display?

Sorry dude, I don't know, I hope someone will pipe up soon, it cannot be much different!
Hi, anyone changed the fuel filter yet?? any problems bleeding the air out after?? only some diesel motors can be a pig!
Hi Mudflap

I'm trying to rest the service interval...Thanks for the details. My only issue is that my vehicle is a Japanese import...so there is no English on the screen :). Any chance that you can tell me how many menu options you go through to get to 'settings', etc?

Cheers

I did mine today.

Mine had a different Fuel Filter compared to the ones Eurocarparts and all other Motor Factors were giving me against the registration.

Removed plastic cover three retaining 10mm bolts
Undid the 1 x 10mm nut which holds the filter in place by means of a metal clamp.

Removed all the pushfit pipes and then turned the key on an off a fuel times about 10 times to ensure the pump had filled the filter

Turned the key foot to the floor so the van revved nicely. It then cut out about 10seconds in and i then turned it off and pumped the pedeal and turned the key and it ran up lovely and idled great - took it for a spin and drove better than ever - more responsive and nice and smooth.

I'm guessing running it down on fuel helps also with the air/pressure issue as i replaced my filter with very little diesel in the tank and then topped it right up after the replacement.
