Fed up with the bland standard stereo and with small funding from Nissan due to terrible quality hands free system its all going for a makeover.

Not a complete audiophile its a work in progress and learning curve. (but I do know JL audio is a name my bass head friends all love)

So I have started and so far fitted:

• JL Audio TR-650 CXI Component speakers up front. Tweeters in door panel by mirror bracket, Mid bass replaces the full range Nissan speakers.
• Silent coat sound deadening to rear of door speakers and rear wheel arches to quiet down the thinnest arches in the world!
• JL audio 6 way Amplifier fitted under passenger seat.
• JL audio TR-650 CSI Coaxial speakers in rear panels (near rear doors)

At the moment its wired into my standard head unit just running the front speakers, amplifier will be fired up when the next parcel arrives!


On order/in progress.

• Pioneer AVH-X3500DAB double din DVD, Parrot Bluetooth, DAB Headunit. Wiring loom/interface ordered at the same time so steering wheel controls will still work. (29-671 - Steering Wheel Interface)
• JL Audio Subwoofer (I have a 12" in the shed but tested a 8" unit which was mighty impressive and I love stealth Stereos!

Any input, if you think I am missing something please shout! I Will update more soon and of course pictures to follow.

Head unit fitted and the tunes are rocking, but I managed to break the DAB aerial socket on the back of the stereo! Its going back to pioneer for repair!

He didn't have the factory tech package. They have different options in the UK over the US.

Wish someone in the states make a radio harness or the steering wheel adaptor for the nv200

Hang in there. I am sure they will. This van is too new. I didn't check Crutchfield but they may have something already. I do all of my searching online and then usually find the best price on Amazon. You get your stuff in less than a week in most cases.

Sorry lads, put brain back in gear! Over here the 'ntech' version of the nv200 features cruise control, air con and SAT NAV! its called nissan 'connect'

I know a few people on the Nissan Note forum and Qashqai forum have transferred the nav head unit and it can be done quite easily but I don't know if the US nav unit is the same as the UK.

Sorry Topher I didn't, The door cards are very easy to remove, IIRC it was only one screw in the grab handle and the rest is poppers!

I remember seeing this over on the note forurm before NV200 forum was around, It might be useful for future projects.

Retrofitting a Connect unit - Obviously its a different model and not sure if its Europe specific but it looks like they have lots of similarities.
