Hi
my firth post here, im converting a 2012 NV200 panel van into a crew cab/fishing wagon/ man cave. currently i have sound proofed, insulated and carpeted (most) of it
im replacing my standard steel wheels with alloys
current Tyre size is 175/70/14, I am replacing them with a 7x16inch alloy with 35mm offset
i have been quoted two tyre sizes which are 195/50/16 to 215/60/16
could anybody please advise which will be better
many thanks

If you only had these options to choose from I suggest the 195/50/16 as it will be closest to OE specs, so your odo/speed will still be somewhat accurate.

215/60/16 will work too(assuming you have the right off set, they won't rub), but there are a few members here that use 205/55/16. Right now I have 205/55/16s on mine just to see how they'll look. Van looks better, but I also got a set of 215/50/17s coming in a few days. My 16s are off a Toyota so the off set is slightly high so they stick out. My 17s should fix it though.

I like the 205-65-15 a lot of Co. make the tire they will last a lot longer than the OEM and they fill that gap from the wheel well to tire. look at the Continental, Pirelli,

205/65R15's are way too large of a diameter tire for the NV200.
They will greatly numerically reduce the effective gear ratio and drastically throw the speedo/odo readings.
