Looked in the topics and didn't see anything related so thought I'd ask in a new thread. This is my first post so go easy on me if I missed something.

Anyone install rear speakers and did Nissan in their "infinite wisdom" run the speaker cables to the rear of the vehicle? If so does anyone know where they are located. My stereo shows a front/rear fader so it must have a takeoff point somewhere.

I brought the link up on my blackberry without logging in and it also had links to the NV and in different languages. Looks like 2 ohm speakers are in order according to pg BBG-99 A lot of other good info here including fluids and roof rack capacities which I was also going to post a question about.

I'm new here and actually I drive the Chevy City Express.
Nevertheless, I found this post after I Googled the topic.
The premium stereo does has a fader in place for rear speakers.
Has anybody determined if the wiring is already in place back there for these back speakers to be installed?
I'm VERY interested to know! Also would be interested to know if my Chevy dealer could upgrade to four channel sound and perhaps add a subwoofer if I purchased one from Crutchfield or an online vendor. BTW, I'm a huge fan of the satellite radio system in the Chevy City Express - the selection of stations makes the miles of driving most enjoyable!

I have a 2014 nv200 in the USA. I recently installed rear speakers. There are in fact no speaker wires already back there so they must be put in. Also the nv200 wire harness for the speakers does not have outputs for the rear speakers (only front). If you were able to find a harness for a Nissan car with the same head unit that had rear speakers, you could buy that harness and use it. Or you could shove wires into the existing harness, because it isn't hard to see where the rear speaker wires should go.
I just got a 4 channel speaker amp that has a sound processor in it. I spliced the front speaker wires going into the amp and placed them in the rear speaker slots. So now I can have four speakers, but I can still only adjust the balance left to right, but the fade front to back can't be adjusted.

I have a 2015 NV200 I put in a set of Alpine 6'' in the rear panels sounds great the head unit is not wired for the rear set but you can make your own input wires for the back of the unit.. you will see where they will plug in. Good Luck

I have a 2017 that I'm converting into a camper and I found that the male multi-pinned plug on the back of the radio has rear speaker connections. (In fact, this same unit is used on other Nissan models.) Unfortunately, the vehicle's cable harness doesn't have the rear speakers wires in the harness, nor the pins inserted into the female connector. I considered buying a harness at a junk yard and splicing wires.. but that seemed kind of intrusive for a new van... but do-able. After much head-scratching.. I've come up with a simple solution.

Scosche sells both the male and female connectors with pigtails... at walmart for about $15 total. The part numbers are NN04RB (female to plug into the radio) and NN04B (male to plug into the harness).

Directly connect each of the wires straight through from one plug to the other... I soldered and used heat shrink tubing. But the 4 speaker wires on the Female connector go to your rear speakers. (I cut out the rectangular holes in the back corners of the van for 6" coaxial speakers.) Simply cut off those wires on the male connector.

If you ever do decide to upgrade the stereo.. you can easily cut at the splice and use the male connector to wire the harness to your new stereo.

hey barryin. thanks a bunch for your post. i am looking to add 2 speakers to rear and also a single 8 or ten. additionally, will i have to replace my stock nav system? if so, will my steering wheel controls still work ? and lastly, any good links for can shoot me for assistance in these matter. thank you and i appreciate you taking the time to read this

I got a local installer put an Alpine iLX-W650 on my 2015 NV 200 SV. Everything on steering wheel controls work except for the carplay buttons (which is the blueotooth to answer the calls and hang up). Bluetooth does work though, and I have to use touch screen on the receiver to answer and/or hang up the call.

Did you use 2ohm speakers for your rear channels?
