My 2011 NV200 has an unusual problem. When it is driven before the blue temperature light goes off, and it is put under pressure, eg, on a hill, a RED engine sign illuminates, and the van goes into limp-mode.
Also, if I drive on the flat from engine cold, and eventually the temperature light goes out, it is absolutely fine for whatever distance I go, usually 20+ miles. A joy to drive. Then,if I stop, and turn the engine off for a few minutes, then re-start the engine, it again illuminates the red engine light (not the yellow diagnostic one), and it goes into limp mode again. Very frustrating.
I have been told it may need to be re-updated on a computer system, but, does anyone have any advice, or has anyone suffered the same problem and had it sorted?
