Remove rear seat mount:bracket

Is it a factory rear seat or did someone just bolt one in? Afaik only the taxi versions came with rear seats in North America, the rest were 2 seater cargo vans.Hello,
Purchased NV200 this weekend. Cannot get the bolts out of the mount. Are these locked underneath? I can’t see them from under there looks like the exhaust system is partially covering. Appreciate anyone’s experience here

Gotcha, I'm still a little skeptical that it's factory...unless it's a NY Taxi model. I've seen lots of euro models with rear seats but can't find anything about ones ever sold over here.
Either way, it sounds like you'll need to either get to the backside of the bolt and see if there's a nut holding it(likely scenario if seat is a home gamer install). You can remove the exhaust heat shields, they're just bolted in from what I remember seeing. Or grind the head of the bolt(s) off. Lots of noise and sparks doing it that way.

Mine has the back seat. Haven’t tried taking it off…yet. if I remove it I have to put it back in to get it inspected. (Japanese regulations.)Hello,

But there seems to be two ways of removing it. First, just the seat. Looks like regular bolts holding it on. Then there is the raised sheet metal platform it’s mounted to. This looks like Torx bolts are holding it down.

Did you figure out how to remove your seat mounts?Its a factory rear seat mount (there were 2 mounts but one already removed by previous owner) I can't take pics until the weekend. Thanks for your reply
