Done 3 starter motors on mine.
First bit of advice is buy a decent one else you'll be replacing them again and again!
Remove the following
- Airbox and hose
- Battery
- Remove all top hoses.
3 Large bolts hold the starter in place 1 or 2 if i remember correctly go through the gearbox.
It is located directly in the middle of the van if i said next to the oil filter for reference that is the easiest i could put it.
The connectors are bolted on and are located under a little rubber cover.
