I'm offered a 2011 NV200, 150,000 miles, tow bar, auto, 1.6L petrol. Seems in good nick from the photos and viewing tomorrow. What would you look for and what do you think about 4250GBP price tag?

Nope. Don’t know the market there but the price sounds really high. I bought my 2020 NV200 last year here in Japan for what converts 11,000GBP and it had 7K miles on it. And in my opinion of this car, that even though that vehicle is sold as a commercial vehicle here in Japan, it doesn’t seem to be built as solidly as you would expect a commercial vehicle to be.

But to an extent, my opinion is a bit like comparing apples to oranges. I live in Japan, whereas you live in the UK or thereabouts. i don’t like the number 150 when it is followed by a ‘K‘ and ‘miles’.

Over in Canada people are asking ridiculous amounts for these vans. 2021 was the last model year for the nv200 in North America. I know someone that recently bought a used 2018 with around 40,000km for $30,000cad and it’s far from
mint. All nv200’s here came with a 2.0l gas and a cvt.
we have a few with well over 300,000km and no issues. One has over 400,000.

Well, I’m encouraged by the news of the mileage on some. Mine will last until I die then. Sounds like I should start exporting these things.

The one in this pic has about 500 miles on it. That price is in yen and it equates to about $20,000cad.
Wow, it's crazy over here. These things sold for under $30,000cad new. Here's a used one for $44 lol 2021 Nissan NV200 | Cars & Trucks | Edmonton | Kijiji

The seemingly never-ending interest rate hikes will hopefully correct that in a hurry.

Not sure if this 2022 or 2023 but that price works out to about $27,000cad. The waiting time is crazy though. For any new car. Which drove the prices of used cars up.
